New SPT-4740 Released from SAM4s

SAM4s SPT-4740 POS Terminal 

St. Paul, MN – CRS announced the new SAM4s SPT-4740 integrated Terminal. For only a few dollars more than ATOM CPU based terminals, this fourth-generation SAM4s terminal employs a fan less, low-power consumption, Celeron 1037U, dual-core processor that delivers nearly triple the benchmark performance. With the increased power of the Celeron 1037U, the SPT-4740 can run the latest Windows 7™, POS Ready 7™ and Windows 8™ operating systems faster and more efficiently. 

“Users will immediately notice the vivid screen,” said Bruce Mann, VP of Marketing at CRS. “Brighter 350 nit LED backlighting will run cooler, use less energy, perform more reliably and last longer than traditional CCFL backlighting.” The SPT-4740 supports a variety of card reader and rear display options, making it an ideal platform for popular hospitality and retail applications. Designed for remote deployment opportunities, the SPT-4700 features tool-free access to RAM, HDD plus tool-free installation of the optional VFD customer display. 

The SPT-4740 is available for immediate shipment and is endorsed by several popular ISVs. For additional savings, resellers may bundle a thermal printer and a cash drawer with SAM4s terminal for an additional $150.
