The SAM4s SPS-2000 has been selected by Business
Solutions magazine's VAR subscribers as a Best Channel Product.
Although several electronic cash registers (ECRs) were nominated, the
SPS-2000 was the only ECR named by the survey.
"The SPS-2000 has closed the gap between ECRs and PC based
POS" said CRS Product Manger Troy Lachinski. "With
the flexibility to fit QSR, table service and retail applications, it
allows both ECR and POS dealers to broaden their offerings and close
more sales in a value-conscious market. The SPS-2000 rivals
PC-based systems in functionality and offers additional advantages
such as embedded software and a life expectancy that is three times
that of PC-based systems."
BSM collaborated with Penn State University to complete the
independent, Web-based survey. 2,186 BSM reseller subscribers
participated and cast over 19,000 votes. Subscribers rated products
in five categories: richness of features/functionality, product
reliability/durability, ease of integration, ease of upgrade and ease
of service. BSM summarized its evaluation of the SPS-2000 with
a VAR comment: "The SPS-2000 is full of features and very easy
to train the end user! Our customers love this terminal.
